Volunteering

Rescuers Without Borders is a volunteer powered, foster based, non-profit animal rescue. Our greatest asset is the dedication of our volunteers. Our ability to save lives depends on having compassionate and dedicated volunteers.

If you have a passion for animals, and would like to help save lives, please consider volunteering! There are many ways you can help even if you have limited time or resources!

ONGOING VOLUNTEERS

There are many different ways to volunteer! RWB is made up of volunteer teams, each of which plays a vital role in saving lives. Depending on the particular volunteer role, the time commitment can be as little as a few hours a week or as much time as you have to give! If you have any questions, please contact us.

Some ways you can volunteer are:

Being Matchmaker

Assist in finding pre-approved adopters a great dog match for their family and lifestyle. Suggest dogs throughout the week and help answer questions for adopters already through the pre-approval process.

Adoption Screener

Assist in pre-approving adopters by reviewing applications, contacting landlord/vet offices, conducting phone screens and setting up home visits.

Foster Screener

Assist in approving fosters by reviewing applications, contacting landlord/vet offices, conducting phone screens and setting up home visits.

Shelter Partner Dog Walk/Play

Giving dogs a break from The Yamac House and take them on a walk or come and sit to play with them.

Social Media

Assisting to upkeep our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts with relevant and important rescue information.

Administrative Support

Assisting with the many operational and organizational administrative tasks required to keep RWB moving smoothly. This may include data entry, paperwork, running errands etc.

Fundraisers and Events

Without funding, we cannot save lives. We are always looking for people to join our fundraising team and help us out by hosting or assisting at events.
