Sage

Sage has been at The Yamac House a few years now after being returned. While she is a love with us; it took the first full year and medication for that to occur.

Sages story started as a pup, who was placed with her sibling near a dumpster. Her little leg broke, infested with fleas, mange and parvo. Against all odds she survived, but her rocky start continued on. Unfortunately after being adopted, things just didn’t go well. Sage found herself in a basket muzzle and we took her back.

She developed aggression towards men, so bad that it took an entire year for Crystal’s husband to be able to go near her without being bit. She had to learn that she could trust them both. Now she adores them, she knows she is safe.

Due to her aggression, Sage cannot be adopted out. It would not be responsible to do so. She needs structure, routine, medication and her “triggers” need to be managed. We committed to her the day we pulled her, and she will always be taking care of by us and live out her days at The Yamac House.
