Emre’s Garden

Many of you who follow our rescue, hear us talk about Emre’s Garden a lot. The garden is a sanctuary that is currently home to over 750 dogs. These dogs were found in the streets, forests, landfills and some dumped at the entrance to it.

Most of these dogs are in deplorable condition when they are saved. We have seen ones emaciated, dehydrated, no hair due to mange, broken bones, shot, paralyzed and victims of severe abuse. The garden is their only chance at living.

Since 2017 we have built many Yamac Houses to help house the dogs who enter the garden. Yamac Houses are dog houses in honor of our first senior hospice dog, Yamac. You can visit the Yamac House page on our website to learn more.

Rescuers Without Borders has its own section there where the dogs we save go once being treated at the clinic. However we also assist with houses, food and vetting for many other dogs who call the garden home.

In a joint effort amongst us and other rescues; the garden has grown and went from empty fields to a fully functioning sanctuary. All dogs have dog houses, receive food, water, and proper Vet care. Without the garden, many lives would have perished amongst the trash or on the sides of roads.

Now with the CDC ban in place, the garden is more important than ever. Dogs cannot fly to America and rely on us to continue to pay for their daily expenses and care. With no end date in sight to the CDC ban, we continue to ensure their safety while still pulling more who desperately need our help. Some dogs at the garden will also never be able to leave due to their breed, and require our life long support.

We also need to care for all the dogs in our Sanctuary in Texas; The Yamac House. This sanctuary takes on all the medical and behavioral dogs who have been saved by our rescue. These dogs require 24/7 care, from medications, bladder expressions on all the paralyzed dogs, hospice senior dogs….all the way to one’s who have behavioral issues which cause them to be non-adoptable.

With over 709 dogs at the garden, over 1,000 dogs in the landfill and 70 dogs in our direct care…we desperately need donations to continue our mission.

We are fully committed to every dog we bring into our rescue. Some are able to find amazing homes, while others remain in our care for life. We believe that every life matters, regardless of location, age, medical condition or behavioral conditions. We stand for the underdogs across the globe and truly believe all lives are worth saving.
