Koa

At just a few months old, Koa found herself tossed into the landfill. Its very hard for a puppy to survive there, let alone one who is paralyzed. When we learned of Koa, we immediately pulled her. The clinic did Xrays and an MRI in hopes the paralysis was temporary, but sadly it is permanent.

Koa flew to The Yamac House and within days, she was ill. She had a bad pre-existing bacterial infection. She received treatment and unfortunately due to ongoing neuropathy, she lost both of her back legs.

While some might find it hard about her back legs being amputated…Koa is actually a lot happier! She has no more spinal walking into her paralyzed limbs, and no more painful neuropathy to them either. She actually plays now, loves hanging out and wrestling with the other paralyzed pups, and is seriously so much happier. Best part also is now she actually will use a wheelchair!
